Note: This is the first of the series of articles on current affairs and other topical issues that I am planning to write. Hope you like and appreciate this.
Entire Maharashtra is in the grip of severe heat wave. Day temperatures are soaring from high thirtees to low forties. It is adivisable not to venture out during day time.
Recently, a function was organised in Kharghar to confer Maharashtra Bhushan award on Mr. Appasaheb Dharmadhikari. I am sure he deserved this award, However, the government, as expected, politicised the award. Lakhs of supporters were brought in for the function. The function time was set at midafternoon in searing heat. The ground was not covered. The VIP's were adequately protected from heat.
Fifteen people died due to heatstroke.
While everybody has expressed their "grief" over the deaths, I have not seen a single appology from anyone including Mr. Dharmadhikari. They are only asking not to politicise the issue.
At the end of the day, it is clear that no matter which party you belong to, they will behave in the same fashion. It is you, as an individual, have to decide what to do about such things.
One must remember, that your own life is precious. You, yourself, need to safeguard it. And you live only once.

Nowadays, any function arranged for any reason, may it be for falicitation of any worth (or even unworth) person or for that sake, anybody, by default, it is always politically motivated, or even if it is not politically motivated, it will be made political to derive it's benefits, for a particular political party. I think poverty is the basic reason behind this. Even after this incident our political parties again do the same thing and go in the mob for some meager sum. I felt really sorry and pity for these kind of people who stake their life. But unfortunately it seems that they have no other option.

प्रचंड उन्हाळा, उष्माघातांची शक्यता असतानाही एवढा मोठा कार्यक्रम उघड्यावर घेतला जातो.कोणत्याही प्रकारची योग्य व्यवस्था न करता ,यामागे फक्त प्रचंड जनशक्ती जमवणे हा एकच हेतू असतो.सामान्य जनतेने याकडे लक्ष दिले पाहिजे, किंमत फक्त निष्पाप लोकांना चुकवावी लागते.समिती येईल,चौकशा होतील,गेलेल्या लोकांना भरपाई दिली जाईल, काय उपयोग असे कार्यक्रम करण्याच्या आधी योग्य व्यवस्था,योग्य वातावरण,योग्य जागा ,निश्चित करणे गरजेचे आहे राजकारण चालूच राहणार आहे....
