The Second World War was between 1939-1945. With the allies struggling, USA entered the war. Japan brought the war to the doorstep of USA by attacking Pearl Harbour. USA effectively ended the war by dropping nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing millions of innocent civilians and crippling more due to after effects on radiation.
After WW2, started the cold was between USA and USSR. Korea, Vietnam war were fought by these two superpowers either directly or by proxies. Millions died during these wars. USA was humiliated by Vietnam. It unified and prospered again and is one of the leading tourist attraction today.
Two Iraq wars were fought by USA to destroy so called weapons of mass destruction which were non-existent. Again, millions died, and America got their oil. A great civilisation was destroyed in the process.
Then came 9/11, and the Afghan war which lasted till 2021. Again, many deaths, destruction of a once prosperous country and loss of face for the USA.
It is said that one learns from History. My driver repeated this the other day. But a 350 year civilisation, if you can call it that, is hell bent on destroying the entire world. A country which is built by 40 % immigrant population, does not understand history.
In fact, most of the ‘native’ Americans don’t give a damn about the rest of the world. But now they have to because the shoe is pinching.
From the Reagans to Bushes to Trump, all American politicians are the same. They are greedy, they amass wealth for their own and don’t give a damn about others.
The current Iran war, started as a whim of the American president is costing upwards one trillion dollars to American public. American debt currently stands at 38 trillion dollars. The debt is mostly owned by Japan, UK and China. What happens if they call it, like the Pakistan was asked by UAE. No one has even began to estimate the economic loss to the entire world.
Living in USA is becoming expensive for common public day by day. The tariff game is hurting USA more.
All this is happening due to the military might of USA. But there is a threat to the dominance of American dollar. If the slide starts, it would go only one way, down.
Actions by the USA is destabilising the world economy and order. If this continues, we are looking at an abyss.
